Foreign Official NGO (Long-term)
This visa is issued to foreign officials who engage with non-government organizations that have MOU with Solomon Islands Government.
Key Details
- Extension stay can be permitted. Submit extension application at the SI Immigration visa service counter.
- All extension applications must be submitted well in advance of the expiry of the current Entry Permit.
- Extensions are only issued to visa permit holders currently in Solomon Islands.
Who Should Apply
- Any individual granted entry through special Ministerial authority, including for humanitarian, or strategic purposes.
- Apply for visa exemption under section 11 (1) (e) of the Immigration Act 2012.

- Provide a valid copy of your Passport bio data page.
- Provide a copy of Support letter from SI Ministry of Foreign Affairs & External Trade
- Provide a copy of Verbal Note from Organization
- Minute from SI Labour Division
- Contract of employment

Important
You must apply outside of Solomon Islands. You may not be allowed into Solomon Islands if your passport validity is less than 6 months. Makesure you attach all required documents with your application.

- The processing time may vary for different visa categories, there is no specific timeframe, however all applications will be processed when registered in our system.

When you get your visa
Once your visa is approved, we will send your grant letter through your email that you provided.
Your visa is valid from:
- the date you entered Solomon Islands.
- the date your visa is granted.
Important
You must present a copy of your grant letter when you enter Solomon Islands.
