Dependent of Solomon Islands Citizen (Working)
This visa is for dependent (spouse) of Solomon Islands citizens who intend to live in Solomon Islands.

Who Should Apply
- Family member (spouse) of Solomon Islands citizen working for SI Government.
- Family member (spouse) of Public Servant citizen 11 (1) (b) of the Immigration Act 2012.
Visa Requirements
- Provide a valid copy of Passport bio data page
- Provide a copy of Marriage (for spouse)
- Provide a support letter from the Sponsor (likely from the Ministry of Public Service confirming employment)
Important
You must apply outside of Solomon Islands. You may not be allowed entry if your passport validity is less than 6 months. Check all your documents are ready when you apply.

When you get your visa
Once your visa is approved, we will send your electronic grant letter through your specific email that you provided during the application.
Your visa approved period of stay is valid from;
- the date you entered into Solomon Islands; or
- the date when your visa is granted.
Important
You must present a copy of your grant letter when you enter Solomon Islands.

Character requirements for the visa
- There is a character concern about a person if –
- the person has a record of serious criminal conduct, whether in Solomon Islands or in a foreign country.
- the person has been convicted for more than one criminal offence, whether in Solomon Islands or in a foreign country.
- the person is a threat to national security, connected to terrorist act, people trafficking, child sex, drug smuggling.
- the person is acquitted of an offence on the grounds of unsoundness of mind or insanity, detained in a facility.
Cancellation of visa
- The Director of Immigration may cancel a visa if –
- there is a character concern about the person applying for the visa.
- the visa was obtained through fraud or false information or document.
