How long does it take to process a tourist visa?
Tourist visa applications are typically processed within 3-5 business days from the date of submission. However, processing times may vary depending on the volume of applications and the completeness of your submission.
Can I extend my visa while in the Solomon Islands?
Yes, you can apply for a visa extension at the Immigration Office in Honiara. The application should be submitted at least 7 days before your current visa expires. Extension approvals are subject to review based on your circumstances and reason for extension.
What payment methods are accepted for visa fees?
We accept credit/debit cards (Visa, MasterCard), bank transfers, and online payment services. Cash payments can be made in person at our office. All fees must be paid before your application can be processed.
Do I need a visa for a cruise ship stop in the Solomon Islands?
Passengers arriving on cruise ships and staying less than 24 hours typically do not need a visa if they remain in designated tourist areas. However, if you plan to disembark and tour independently, a transit visa may be required.
