Short-Term Business Visa (Single/Multiple Entry)
The Short-Term Business Visa is for individuals traveling to the Solomon Islands for business-related activities such as meetings, conferences, trade negotiations, or short-term consultancy work.

- Extension Available: Yes – Visa renewal before permit expires.
- Work Rights: Not permitted to engage in any form of employment without approval from the Commissioner of Labour (non-remunerated business activities only).
Who Should Apply
This visa is suitable for businesspersons, consultants, or investors intending to make frequent visits to the Solomon Islands for short-term business purposes.
Visa Requirements
- Complete application form online in eVisa portal.
- Submit valid passport biopage and details.
- Submit valid return ticket.
- Provide support letter for reasons of your visit, from your company or Solomon Islands based company you doing business with.
- Pay Online Fee.
- Pay Visa Application Fee.
Processing time
- The processing time may vary for different visa categories.
- There is no quarantee timeframe, however all applications will be processed when registered in our system.
- After you apply online for your visa, log into your account to check your visa status.
- We will notify you through your email once we make a decision.
- To prevent delays in processing time, please attach all required documents with your application.
When you get your visa
Once your visa is approved, we will send your visa grant letter through your email that you provided.
Your visa is valid from:
- the date you enter Solomon Islands, if you are applying from outside Solomon Islands.
- the date your visa is granted, if you are applying with in Solomon Islands.

- You will be required to register an account before proceeding.
- Register using a valid email address and create a secure password.
- After registration, log in to your account using your email and password.
- Once logged in, complete the online visa application form and submit your application.
*Please ensure your email address is active, as all application updates and notifications will be sent to this email.
Note: This visa does not permit any form of employment or income-generating activity in the Solomon Islands. A separate employment visa must be obtained for paid work.
Specific requirements for the visa
- the Director is satisfied that the purpose of the applicant’s visit to Solomon Islands is short-term business.
- the Director is satisfied that the person has sufficient means of support during the person’s visit to Solomon Islands.
- the person holds a letter of authority (grant letter) to travel that is signed by the Director.
Conditions for the visa
It is a condition of a business visa that the visa holder must not take up employment in Solomon Islands.
Character requirements for the visa
- There is a character concern about a person if –
- the person has a record of serious criminal conduct, whether in Solomon Islands or in a foreign country.
- the person has been convicted for more than one criminal offence, whether in Solomon Islands or in a foreign country.
- the person is a threat to national security, connected to terrorist act, people trafficking, child sex, drug smuggling.
- the person is acquitted of an offence on the grounds of unsoundness of mind or insanity, detained in a facility.
Cancellation of visa
- The Director of Immigration may cancel a visa if –
- there is a character concern about the person applying for the visa.
- the visa was obtained through fraud or false information or document.
