The Tourist Visa is for travelers/tourists who intend to travel to the Solomon Islands for sightseeing, leisure and holidays.
Visa Details
Visa fee: $100 USD
Online fee: $50 USD
Visa validity: 30 days on arrival
Maximum stay: Up to 150 days
Entry option: Single
Allows only single entry
- Extension Available: Yes – Visa renewal before permit expires.
- Extention Fee: $100 USD
- Work Rights: Not permitted.
- *All visa and lodgement fees are levied in US Dollars and converted into Solomon Islands Dollars prior to finalisation of application registration.
- *Fees are often non-refundable, even if the visa is rejected.

This visa is ideal for tourists and travelers who are not engaging in business, employment, or study activities while in the Solomon Islands.
Visa Requirements
- Lodge application via the electronic visa portal.
- Submit a valid copy of your passport biopage.
- Submit a valid copy of your return air ticket.
- Pay the online lodgement fee.
- Pay the visa fee.
- Have sufficient funds to support yourself.
- Must be a genuine visitor or tourist.
Processing time
- The processing time may vary for different visa categories.
- There is no quarantee timeframe, however all applications will be processed when registered in our system.
- After you apply online for your visa, log into your account to check your visa status.
- We will notify you through your email once we make a decision.
- To prevent delays in processing time, please attach all required documents with your application.
When you get your visa
Once your visa is approved, we will send your evisa through your email that you provided.
Your visa is valid from:
- the date you entered Solomon Islands, if you are applying from outside Solomon Islands.
- the date your visa is granted, if you are applying within Solomon Islands.
How to Apply
- Click on the “Apply for a Visa” button to begin your application.
- You will be required to register an account before proceeding.
- Register using a valid email address* and create a secure password.
- After registration, log in to your account using your email and password.
- Once logged in, complete the online visa application form and submit your application.
*Please ensure your email address is active, as all application updates and notifications will be sent to this email.
Note: Extensions beyond the initial 30 days must be applied for before the visa expires. Overstaying may result in penalties or future entry restrictions.
Specific requirements for the visa
Applicants must generally:
Hold a valid passport (usually valid for at least 6 months beyond travel date)
Demonstrate intent to leave the country after the visit
Provide proof of sufficient funds
Show confirmed travel plans
Have no immigration violations or criminal record

- the Director is satisfied that the person is a genuine visitor.
- the Director is satisfied that the person has sufficient means of support during the person’s visit to Solomon Islands.
- the person holds a letter of authority (grant letter) to travel that is signed by the Director.
Conditions for the visa
It is a condition of a visitor visa that the visa holder must not engage in work in Solomon Islands, whether or not for remuneration.
Character requirements for the visa
- There is a character concern about a person if –
- the person has a record of serious criminal conduct, whether in Solomon Islands or in a foreign country.
- the person has been convicted for more than one criminal offence, whether in Solomon Islands or in a foreign country.
- the person is a threat to national security, connected to terrorist act, people trafficking, child sex, drug smuggling.
- the person is acquitted of an offence on the grounds of unsoundness of mind or insanity, detained in a facility.
Cancellation of visa
- The Director of Immigration may cancel a visa if –
- there is a character concern about the person applying for the visa.
- the visa was obtained through fraud or false information or document.
