Welcome to our Happy Isles. Greetings from the Solomon Islands Immigration Division to you all. I take this wonderful opportunity to dedicate our achievements to my hard-working Immigration officers who supported and involved in developing the Immigration website, strategic plan and the border management system. The milestone achievements celebrated today, resulted of our strong Immigration officers’ team work and leadership.
It’s a with great pleasure indeed for me to introduce the Solomon Islands Immigration Division’s new website today. The new website is our commitment to assist our customers and travellers who wish to travel to Solomon Islands to access visa applications online. It is our wish to ensure that the website and visa system contribute positively to secure our national borders. It further unpacks our vision to attain Immigration excellence into manageable cross-border movements. The website helps to keep our customers informed of the transformational changes and border reforms. The core values of Immigration Division are; Integrity, Commitment, Professionalism, Flexibility, Trust & Respect, Leadership, and Good governance. These core values become the foundation principles of the Immigration Division’s developments.
Immigration is mandated under the Immigration Act 2012 to protect the people, economy and the society, promoting safe, secure and orderly migration. Immigration further tasked to strengthen human security, social and economic developments that are deemed beneficial to the society and the community. Immigration is also a forefront of the national security and working in partnership to implement a multi-agency border security for Solomon Islands.
The new website is the result of the Pacific Immigration Development Community ongoing supports for its members including the Solomon Islands Immigration Division. Pacific Immigration Development Community strategized to assist members to advance and modernised their Immigration borders. PIDC’s regional security interest to ensure it meets the international standards and best practises, maintaining professionalism and to remain responsive to national and regional security.
Solomon Islands Immigration Division greatly appreciated the trilateral partnership between the Department of Home Affairs, and Australia, PNG Immigration Citizenship Service Authority. The trilateral partnership modal works well, developing Solomon Islands border management system. The trilateral partnership grew from strength and resulted of the mile stone achievement. The new website purposely to provide the following Immigration service to our customers and travellers; visas, e-Gate payment, passport information, national border protections, policy and reform developments.
Today’s official launching will go down in the Immigration history marking the significant achievements to introduce and launch; Immigration Strategic plan 2025 – 2035, Immigration website, and the Immigration border management system.

Immigration Strategic Direction
Solomon Islands Immigration Division’s responsibility is to strengthen the security governance architecture, internationalize investment, and travel facilitation, bolster organizational capacity and advance multilateral cooperation. Immigration strategized to reform Immigration to advance national border digitization and transformation to secure and protect Solomon Islands national borders.
Our Units
The Policy, Reform and Admin Unit consists of official guidelines, rules or plans that govern the division’s actions and decisions, also specific structural or organizational functions. e-Passport Unit provide and facilitate travel and national identification for citizens and work collaboratively with national stakeholders for documentations and travel identifications. The Passport Unit facilitates, assess and an issuance Authority of Solomon Islands e-Passport and travel identification documents.

The National Compliance and Border Enforce Unit plays important role in enforcing the Immigration Act 2012, regulations and fee schedules. National Compliance ensures that non-citizens, and companies and citizens complying with Immigration laws. Immigration Division working in partnership with the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force, Customs and national law enforcement protecting Solomon Islands economy, people and society.

The National Border Operations roles are important to facilitate trade, investment and migration. The Unit is responsible for facilitating and processing visas for investors, and travellers or working residents in Solomon Islands. It played important role to collect non-taxable revenues and at the same time protecting our national borders, maritime, land and air transport.

Functional Organization Structure
The Solomon Islands Immigration Division plays a vital role in safeguarding national security, facilitating lawful migration, and upholding the integrity of the country’s borders. Operating under the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, Labour and Immigration, the Division is structured to deliver its services efficiently through specialized units focused on border management, compliance, passport issuance, policy development, and corporate services. This functional organization ensures a coordinated approach to immigration that aligns with international standards while meeting the unique needs of the Solomon Islands.
